HOW TO USE: Check claws to locate the interior blood vessel ("quick"). On light-coloured claws, the "quick" is easily seen inside the broad base of the claw. On dark claws, it can be seen on the claw's underside. Be very careful to avoid trimming into the "quick".

Hold your cat's paw securely with one hand. Clipper should be held with the other hand with screws facing the paw. Position the claw into the clipper opening with the cutting blade on the underside of the claw at the angle shown in the packaging diagram. Trim off a little of each claw. 

If bleeding occurs, use styptic powder. If you experience trouble, ask your groomer or veterinarian for advice on nail trimming.
