HOW TO USE: Check claws to locate the interior blood vessel ("quick"). On light-coloured claws the "quick" is easily seen inside the broad base of the claw. On dark claws, it can be seen on the claw's underside. Be sure to avoid trimming into the "quick".

Hold the cat's paw securely with one hand and scissors with the other. Place claw in the grove of the scissors. Trim off a little of each claw.

If bleeding occurs, use styptic powder. If you experience trouble, ask your groomer or veterinarian for advice on nail trimming.
