The Betta Floating Lounge provides a comfortable resting site an appropriate distance from the surface of the water. The naturalistic bamboo design fits in any habitat and has built in enrichment value as it floats around the habitat.
Fish breathing Air?
In nature, Bettas generally inhabit shallow bodies of water with abundant vegetation, including marshes, floodplains, and rice paddies. In these warm, shallow habitats, oxygen levels are frequently low, which has likely led to the evolution of the lung-like labyrinth organ that allows Bettas (and other Anabantoids) to breathe air at the surface of the water.

Attach the Betta Tunnel to the inside of a Betta’s habitat to encourage exploration, exercise, and other natural behaviors. Position the Tunnel about an inch under the surface of the water to allow your fish to rest on top as well as inside the tunnel. Multiple tunnels may be used to increase interest or create a fun course for your fish to swim though! Change the tunnel’s position occasionally to add interest and increase its enrichment value!
What is “Enrichment”?
Behavioral enrichment is the improvement of animals’ lives through mental and physical stimulation that increases their natural healthy behaviors. For our beloved Bettas, we can do this by enhancing the environment or by providing species-appropriate challenges, opportunities, and stimulation. Exposure to these items and environmental changes often results in increased activity and performance of natural behaviors.

Crickets are one of the best feeder insect choices for your pet reptile: They’re high in protein, low in fat, and conveniently available at nearly every pet store! However, they’re low in calcium and can be hard to keep alive at home.
Feeding crickets a high-calcium, dry diet for 1-3 days (”gut-loading”) is the gold standard for improving their calcium content to at least a 1:1 calcium-to-phosphorus ratio (Ca:P). However, crickets need to stay hydrated to survive this gut-loading process. Reptile nutritionists advise against offering fresh fruit, vegetables, or the typical fruit-based jelly cups because they are more appealing than a high-calcium gut-load diet and can further dilute the insect’s nutritional value.
After countless tests, trials, and formulas, we developed a calcium-fortified hydrating jelly that complements gut-loading, rather than detracting from it!

Isopods are quickly becoming staple pets in the homes of reptile and amphibians keepers. Many choose to keep them for the beneficial role they play in maintaining a bioactive habitat, while others keep them as display pets on their own.
These inconspicuous creatures have a broad palette, foraging for an array of decomposing plants, protein, and fungi. Make sure your isopods have access to a similar variety of foraging items as they would in nature by feeding them our new Isopod Food! The mix includes carrots, krill, mushrooms, and high-protein crumbles that are fortified with vitamins and minerals. All these ingredients will help your isopod colony stay healthy and abundant!
