How long will my pet’s appointment take?
The amount of time your appointment will take varies by service requested, breed and coat condition. On average most appointments take 3–4 hours. Express services are available. Please request express services directly with your groomer when booking your appointment. Services, such as walk-in nail trimming, take about 5–10 minutes.
Do you use sedations?
We never sedate pets or accept pets that have been sedated. Sedations should only be administered and monitored closely by a veterinarian.
Do you require my pet to be vaccinated?
Yes, all pets are required to be current on their vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations will be requested at the time of your pet’s grooming appointment. Please make sure your pet is in good health and parasite free in order to prevent cross contamination to other pets and your groomer.
Do I need to schedule an appointment to have my pet groomed?
It is best to call ahead and make an appointment to ensure that your groomer has availability and that your pet is not kept waiting longer than necessary. Depending on the time of year, such as spring, summer and especially Christmas, you may want to book a few weeks in advance as these times are very popular.
How much will it cost to groom my pet?
Prices for all grooming services are based on size, breed, coat condition, style and the time it takes to complete the service. We can do our best to provide an estimate price range over the phone. To get the most accurate price we will need to assess your pet at the time of the appointment.
My pet is matted. Will he have to be shaved down?
Matts pull tightly on the pet’s skin, causing discomfort, irritation and often pain. When a pet’s hair becomes severely matted, the most humane way to remove the matts is by giving your pet a very short haircut, often referred to as a “smoothie.”
What is a matt?
A matt is a multitude of tangled and knotted dead hair that has become interwoven with live hair, dander, dead skin and other miscellaneous debris, such as dirt, grass, feces or urine. When your pet’s hair becomes severely matted, air cannot circulate through to the hair and skin. This can lead to serious skin irritation and infection.
Do you groom cats?
