Donations to the Canine Memorial Fund will be used solely for the purposes of planning, construction and maintenance of the Canine Memorial Site. The Winnipeg Police Canine Memorial will be a permanent structure to honour the beloved and devoted working dogs for the Winnipeg Police Service and the citizens of Winnipeg.

The Memorial Site will be home to a life size bronze sculpture of a police dog standing guard in front of a columbarium wall containing the cinerary urns of canines who provided active service to the WPS. The Memorial Site will be open to members of the public who wish to pay their respects.
